There you go again folks...

Once more Italians missed a chance to be smart as a Country. Scared by the Japan nuclear disaster and misled by  populist politicians, they decided to vote NO to the  government's new plan to develope nuclear plants. And they are proud of it. Of course, the day after the "historical vote", the Japanese prime minister reassured his citizens that nuclear power is vital for Japan's economy and nothing is going to change because of the accident.
No wonder Japan is one of the first economies in the world and Italy is going down the hill...
Another great occasion is lost. Now that the Japanese experience provided extremely useful lessons on how to avoid such a disaster, we pull out and say no thank you. Good job, spaghetti eaters...
